To whom it may concern,
It is without hesitation that I write this letter of recommendation for Jack Gallagher with respect to his presentation for the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), which represents more than 4,000 school business officials statewide.
In November of 2016, Mr. Gallagher gave the keynote address for our CBO Symposium which is an invitation only educational program that delivers premier professional development opportunities for executive-level administrators.
During his address, A Different Kind of Cool: Insight into Autism, Mr. Gallagher spoke to our membership about a sensitive topic with a poignant blend of humor and emotion. His program gave insight to his journey with his son from both a parent perspective and that of a former educator. His presentation style was interactive, engaging, and conversational. While inherently focused, Mr. Gallagher was friendly, empathetic and above all, sincere.
While I am often asked to write letters of reference, I politely decline in most instances. As a professional with over 30 years of experience in education and a professional public speaker myself, I recognize the value of honest recommendations and information. I am proud to provide this reference and recommendation. I welcome questions and would be happy to provide more information.

It’s my pleasure to share with you the great success we experienced by asking Jack Gallagher to keynote at ISTE 2015 this year.
With some 7,500 attendees in our general sessions, it’s a challenge for any speaker to meaningfully “connect” with the audience. But Jack, as the storyteller extraordinaire he is, did so with substance, reflection and, yes, humor. Our post-conference survey gave him very high marks.
Jack does what few of us are able to do: He tells us about his own experiences in a way that both informs and inspires. And he does so while sharing the very personal story of his son, Liam. To anyone who is a parent, we can relate, if only in our imagination.
We haven’t lived his circumstances, but he makes them real and relevant to us and our own lives.
Jack’s message applies to all of us in our work and in our daily experiences.
I wholeheartedly recommend Jack to all audiences. It’s a human story from which we all can benefit.
